Goodwin World Media LLC (GWM) has announced that it is divesting the States Shield team golf croquet tournament and associated events effective June 6, 2019. Ownership of the States Shield has been transferred to Series One LLC, a newly formed event-oriented management company. In addition, GWM is also announcing the Kansas City Croquet Club and assets transfer to Series One as well.
GWM has made the move in order to focus on magazine media and marketing initiatives. Those initiatives include Brushware magazine, the USCA's Croquet News and the Croquet Network website and newsletter. GWM will continue to work as a marketing partner with Series One for the States Shield and the Kansas City Croquet Club. The newly formed Series One is focused on managing croquet-related events in the short term with the goal of building and managing croquet courts in the long-term.
